Making my way through the cell

DNA, to RNA, and I'm protein bound

Starting as a poly-peptide chain

Can’t function till i am folded

(Ribosomes)

 I need you

(Chaperones)

 I miss you

And now I wonder

If chaperones would bind to my new chains

Or would they act as isolation chambers?

'Cause you know I would function properly

If I could just fo-old.... right

And now its time to fold, cause now I have hydrophobic intera-a-ctions

'Cause everything's so wrong and I need disulfide bonds

Linking two cysteine side chains

'Cause I'll need you

And I'll miss you

And now I wonder

If I was damaged by a prion

I would misfold and aggregate

'Cause you know prions are proteinaceous infectious particles

Caused by damaged PrP…. genes

And I, I don't want misfold
