Started with mitogens

Activated cyclin

Dephosphorylates Cdk

Inhibitor releases

And then cyclin binds

Cdk (is active)

 

Cdc6 loads up

helicase on DNA

Cdk phosphorylates Cdc6

Helicase also

So DNA is ready

And the strands will break away

 

 

All DNA are now replicated

And DNA damage is now all repaired

Cdc25

Accumulates

Dephosphorylates

M-Cdk

And M-Cdk then goes back around

And phosphorylates Cdc25 now

Activates

MAPs and condensins

 

Double check the spindle

Chromosomal tension

Signals APC to cleave securin

Separase is active

And degrades cohesins - from sister chromatids

They break away 


Cell cycle checkpoints

Are simple enough

G1-S phase can be super fun
